A leading drainage & civil engineering company based in Atherstone, Warwickshire (The Midlands) require an experienced Drain Lining Engineer.

Salary: £11-15 per hour with overtime potential. (time and a half after 16.30, double time after 21.00)

Role overview

This challenging role involves travelling through the Midlands and UK and to work on all aspects of the lining process including pipe cleaning, patch lining, CCTV operation, and full-length liner installation. Our Drain lining Engineers need be adaptable and confident in problem solving, decision making and communicating with site supervisors and clients, all of which are crucial elements to this role to deliver exception customer service.

The applicant will be required to enter confined spaces and work closely with sewage. Flexibility is key as the applicant will be working on planned and reactive drain lining throughout the Midlands, as well as nationwide. Flexibility is key as night and day-time shift work may be required.

About you
The ideal drain lining engineer must have previous drainage experience and have extensive knowledge of patch repair (no-dig technology, using a patch packer) as well as drain lining and relining experience, including hot cure, ambient and UV liners. Being a good team worker, punctual, hardworking, polite, presentable and enthusiastic are also key qualities for this role.

Qualifications & certificates required
-An up to date CSCS card
-Confined spaces or NRSWA qualification (preferred)
-HPWJ high-pressure water jetting certificate (preferred, not essential)
-A full driving license is essential. Own transport is imperative.

Skills & experience
-Patch Repair experience (no dig repair using patch packer)
-Relining experience (no dig repair via inversion of calibration hose through liner using air or water)
-Ability to operate CCTV cameras
-Ability to operate robotic cutters
-Experience in drainage
