Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Engineer position.

Wilkinson Environmental Ltd provides civil engineering and drainage services throughout the Midlands and UK.  We are looking to recruit an Electric Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for our Midlands HQ premises located in Atherstone, Warwickshire.

Location: Carlyon Road Industrial Estate, Atherstone, Warwickshire
Department: Transport Yard
Salary:  £10-12.50 per hr DOE
Job Type: Full time, Monday – Friday (7.30am-4.30pm)
Start date: Immediate

Role overview
-To assist the Transport Manager running the Transport Depot
-Provide maintenance support in the event of vehicle and equipment breakdowns
-Fault finding and repair of CCTV drain surveying equipment
-Carry out routine scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities to service vehicles and CCTV drainage equipment
-Regular vehicle and equipment audits and inspections
-Source/order and fit new and replacement equipment/parts
-Control of maintenance area, tools and equipment storage including spares inventory
-Maximising production efficiencies
-Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standards of workmanship and safety
-Comply with all company policies and procedures
-Compliance with all aspects of Health & Safety

About you
The ideal applicant must have a proven track record working as a mechanical and electrical engineer, positive attitude, be a good team worker, reliable, enthusiastic, happy to muck-in and do whatever is needed and be able to work outside in all weather.

Required Experience
-A recognised industry electrical qualification – IEE 18th Edition (preferred)
-Electrical /electronic fault finding to a competent level
-Experience working with CCTV equipment including Mini Cams, ROVVER, Pearpoint CCTV camera systems used within the drainage industry (preferred)
-Good vehicle mechanical knowledge – ideally HGVs/Recycling Jet Vacs (JHLs)
-An ability to work on own initiative and work well under pressure
-Excellent planning abilities
-Excellent communication skills at all levels
-Problem solving/analytical ability
-Knowledge of engineering disciplines including pneumatic and hydraulic schemes would be an advantage
