Wilkinson Environmental Ltd provides drainage and civil engineering services nationwide. We have a fleet of recycling Jet Vacs and CCTV drain survey vans and are looking to recruit a Drainage Yard Operative & Mechanic for our Midlands HQ premises.
Location: Carlyon Road Industrial Estate, Atherstone, Warwickshire
Department: Transport Yard
Salary: £10-12 (negotiable dependent on experience)
Job Type: Full time, Monday – Friday (42.5hrs)
Start date: Immediate

Role overview
-To assist the Transport Manager
-To help service and maintain company fleet and drainage equipment
-Assist with vehicle fittings and mechanical fittings
-General upkeep of the yard
-Manual handling e.g. picking up and moving large and heavy materials
-Collecting goods/parts from various suppliers
-Compliance with company environmental and health and safety policies
-Response to spillages
-Liaising with suppliers to organise skip exchanges
-Any other duties as required by the Transport Manager
About you
The ideal applicant must have a positive ‘lets get things done’ attitude, be a good team worker, reliable, enthusiastic, happy to muck-in and do whatever is needed and be able to work outside in all weather.
Required Experience:
Mechanical experience desired – working with 3.5 to 32 tonnes vehicles
Electrical mechanical engineering highly desirable also
Experience with drainage vehicles/equipment preferred – recycling Jet Vacs, CCTV drain vans, push rods
The right ‘can do’ attitude
Full driving licence
