HGV Jet Vac Operator – Midlands.

A leading drainage services & civil engineering company based in Atherstone, Warwickshire, The Midlands, require an experienced HGV Jet Vac operator and driver. Please note: a minimum HGV Class 2  is essential for this drainage position.

Salary: £10.50-£14.50 per hour DOE with overtime potential. (Time and a half after 16.30pm, double time after 21.00pm).
Job Type: Full time, basic hours Monday – Friday 07.30 – 16.30
Start date: Immediate

Role overview:
To visit various sites throughout the Midlands and nationwide and drive drainage tankers and operate Jet Vac Units and work with the CCTV drainage surveying team while on site. Jet Vac Operators must ensure vehicles are always ready to go and kept in good working order. Night and day-time shift work may be required.

Assist the team ensuring the Jet Vac unit is organised and fully equipped to carry out daily tasks; carry out cleansing and record findings, clear blockages, be able to liaise directly with customers/Contracts Managers to discuss findings when needed; problem shoot and proactively solve on-site issues.

On occasion, the applicant may be required to enter confined spaces and work closely with sewage. Flexibility is key as the applicant will be working on planned and reactive blockages throughout the Midlands as well as nationwide.

About you
The ideal Jet Vac Operator must be a good team worker, punctual, hardworking, polite, presentable and enthusiastic and have previous experience. Previous experience with drainage/sewage treatment works is an advantage but not essential as full training can be given to the right candidate.

Qualifications
-Some drainage experience
-Minimum HGV Class 2 (essential)
-HGV Class 1 (preferred)
-An up to date CSCS card and a high-pressure water jetting certificate (HPWJ) preferred, but training can be given)
-Confined spaces or NRSWA qualification (preferred, but training can  be given)
-A full driving license is essential. Own transport is imperative.
-Safety critical medical
